There is this new movie called John Carter which is based on the book "John Carter of Mars" which was the inspiration of all science fiction's greatest works like Star Wars. This film is about a former confederate who is transported to Mars to help the native Martians defeat their enemies and bring life back to their world. I've personally never read the book and I have yet to see the film but I think it be a good movie to see.

Mars has a planet of great interest to astronomers for decades because of the possiblity that it supported life. Scientists says that Mars was very earthlike and contained liquid H2O. The best evidence of this is on the north and south poles of Mars where there are ice caps. The most famous evidence of Mar's life supporting past was fossils of what appeared to be microorganisms. Because of this scientists belive Mars could be suitable for human colonization when can no longer be able to support life.
